Ohio Art Education Association - The OAEA promotes quality art education in the Ohio area. The website includes information about local events and exhibits, and also archives full-text issues of Ohio ARTline.

Ohio Academic Content Standards: Fine Arts - Academic Content Standards published by the Ohio Department of Education, organized in three formats: by standard, by grade level, and with benchmarks and indicators aligned.
McREL Compendium of Standards and Benchmarks - Identifies content standards for K-12 curriculum for visual arts. Published by Mid-continent Research for Education and Learning.
ECS Artscan - Searchable database of Art Education policies by state. Developed by the Education Commission of the States.

KinderArt - "The largest collection of free art lessons on the internet." Searchable site containing over 800 lesson plans. Updated regularly.
Educator's Reference Desk: Lesson Plans - Large collection of lesson plans in various subjects (including visual arts) submitted by teachers from around the world. EduRef's main site also includes resource guides and a questions archive.
Incredible Art Department - Extensive website with art education news, lesson plans, sample classrooms, networking options, and links to other organizations. Site hosted by the Princeton Online community.
Art Links on the Web - Large list of links to various topics in art, including art education. Maintained by Dr. Jeffrey Howe of Boston College.
Art Teacher on the Net (Requires some scrolling) - Ideas for art projects and lessons in the classroom as well as for extracurricular groups (scouts, church, etc). Site maintained by an art teacher; updates weekly.

Multimedia and Educational Technology
TALON - Designed as a guide for K-12 teachers interested in using Internet resources and creating Web-based activities for students. Includes a specific subject area in architecture, fine arts, and crafts.
McREL - Offers many high-quality tools, reports, and services to support the processes of measuring student progress, designing and implementing accountability systems at all levels of schooling, and using data appropriately to improve student performance. Contains descriptions of their products and links to free online available sources, such as lesson plans.
