  • American Institute of Architects (AIA) - "Since 1857, the AIA has represented the professional interests of America's architects. As AIA members, over 74,000 licensed architects, emerging professionals, and allied partners express their commitment to excellence in design and livability in our nation's buildings and communities."

  • AIA Ohio - Ohio branch of the AIA.

  • AIA Cincinnati - Local chapter of the AIA.

  • American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) - Founded in 1975 with the consolidation of the American Institute of Decorators (AID) and the National Society of Interior Designers (NSID), the American Society of Interior Designers is the oldest, largest and leading professional organization for interior designers.

  • American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) - Founded in 1899, the American Society of Landscape Architects is the national professional association representing landscape architects. Beginning with 11 original members, ASLA has grown to more than 15,000 members and 48 chapters, representing all 50 states, US territories, and 42 countries around the world.

  • Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ACSA) - The Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture is a nonprofit, membership association founded in 1912 to advance the quality of architectural education, with membership of over 250 schools.

  • Foundation for Interior Design Education Research (FIDER) - FIDER provides the foundation for excellence in the interior design profession by setting standards for education and accrediting academic programs that meet those standards

  • The Society of Architectural Historians - The Society of Architectural Historians (SAH) is an international not-for-profit membership organization that promotes the study and preservation of the built environment worldwide. The Society’s 3,500 members include architectural historians, architects, preservationists, students, professionals in allied fields and the interested public

  • ADAM: Art, Design, Architecture and Media Information Gateway - ADAM is a searchable online catalog describing Internet resources such as web sites or electronic mailing lists to help you find useful, quality-assured information on the Internet in the following subject areas: Fine Art, Design, Architecture, Applied Arts, Media, Theory, Museum Studies and Conservation, and Professional Practice.

  • Voice of the Shuttle: Architecture - Dynamic arts and humanities portal with extensive links to resources on Architecture, Architects, Design, Images, Museums & Libraries, Teaching Resources, Online Journals, Departments, Listservs, and Conferences.

  • Archpedia: Architecture Encyclopedia - Interactive architecture encyclopedia for scholars and professionals. Updated daily.

  • Dictionary of Islamic Architecture - Andrew Petersen's dictionary of Islamic architectural terms, originally published by Routledge in 1996, is available here with links to related buildings and publications on ArchNet.

  • Looking at Buildings - Introductory educational guides to architecture created by Pevsner Architecture Guides in the UK. Includes images, glossary, and other study aids and tools.

  • ArchINFORM - Large online-database about worldwide architects and buildings from past to present; includes over 13,000 built and unrealized projects from various architects and planners. The architecture of the 20th century is the main theme of this database.

  • ArchNet Digital Library Image Collection - Large collection of online images indexed by collection, country, building type, building style, building usage, and time period.

  • Cities and Buildings Database - Collection of digitized images of buildings and cities drawn from across time and throughout the world, with contributions from a wide range of scholars, containing nearly 10,000 images ranging from New York to Central Asia, from African villages, to the Parc de la Villette, and conceptual sketches and models of Frank Gehry's Experience Music Project.

  • SPIRO: Slide and Photograph Image Retrieval Online - A searchable collection of over 63,000 architectural images (pre-history through the 20th century). From the Architecture and Visual Resources Library, University of California, Berkeley.
