Electronic Instruction Room Policies (Oxford Campus)
The Miami University Libraries' instruction facilities provide for formal and informal hands-on instruction by trained information professionals. These facilities provide a venue in which students, faculty, and staff can learn to effectively create and use electronic information technology and resources. These facilities feature campus network, Internet connectivity and a full complement of multimedia software.

Use of the Electronic Instruction Facilities
Electronic Instruction Facilities operated by the Miami University Libraries are for the use of librarians and library staff members for:
- Credit courses taught by librarians
- Course-related library instruction
- Technology & Information Management workshops taught by library staff, and
- Library staff training
- Library-sponsored programming and outreach
Electronic Instruction Facilities are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis, no more than one year in advance of a scheduled activity. If a particular facility is booked, use may be negotiated with the librarian who has the reservation. Scheduling of the facilities is handled by the Administrative Services Coordinator (Kamm Room & King 057); the Assistant Head Science Librarian (Brill Instruction Room); and the Art & Architecture Librarian (Art & Architecture Instruction Room).
When selecting an electronic instruction facility, librarians are encouraged to select a room with a number of workstations that most closely matches the size of their prospective audience.
Some facilities may be open as walk-in computing facilities for individual users when classes are not scheduled.
No food or drink is permitted in the instruction facilities.
Equipment and Maintenance
The Miami University Libraries' Systems Department (systems@lib.muohio.edu) is responsible for maintaining the equipment and software in the room. 72 hours (3 working days) notice must be given to the Library Systems Department for any special software needs
