Abstract:
A little boy takes a walk with his big yellow balloon. A cat follows him because he believes the balloon is the sun. Suddenly a dog follows the cat and a dogcatcher follows the dog. Soon there is a long parade of people and animals following one another. The balloon is finally broken, but the boy is given a hero badge to replace the balloon since the parade he created helped a policeman catch a thief.

A ballerina remembers how she developed a dancing heart just like her mother's. After each dance, both mother and daughter shared in a special moment for that season. For example, the autumn dance would be a "leaf-kicking leg lifting, hand clapping, hello autumn ballet", and afterwards, they would press leaves and drink "hot tea spiced."

It's Billy's birthday party and all of his monster friends want to play with his new toys. Billy does not want to share, so his friends find new games to play without him. 16. Lehman, Barbara (2004). The red book. Boston: Houghton Mifflin Company.

Abstract:
A friendship forms when two boys from different parts of the world find a magical red book. The boy from the urban city decides to use balloons to fly to the island where his new friend lives, but he accidentally drops the red book along the way. The boy on the island is disappointed when he can no longer view his city companion in the pages of the book, but is relieved when he lands on the beach instead! Back in the city, the red book is discovered by a man riding his bike on the street (A wordless book).

Through rhyme and rhythm, this story focuses on counting skills by 5s and 10s. The lizards are set for a show to begin. However, snake cannot find all of the lizards! One by one, five by five, and ten by ten, the reptiles begin to arrive by air, sea, car and bicycle. The finale includes a fifty leaping lizards show!
