| Description: | An author-subject print index of general interest English-language periodicals. Since March 1976 each update and cumulative volume also contain an author index to book reviews. Reader's Guide is an excellent research tool for literary topics and popular culture. Advanced researchers will need to consult a more specialized subject index. The Reader's Guide to Periodical Literature is preceded by a two-volume Nineteenth Century Reader's Guide which covered items appearing in 51 popular periodicals from 1890 through 1899 |
