| Description: | A bibliography of criticism and scholarship about English language literature--that is, the literatures of the USA, England, Canada, Australia, South Africa, South Asia, and the Caribbean--and covers material published since 1920 (with some earlier items included). ABELL lists books, chapters in books, articles in journals, dissertations, and occasionally other materials published in English and other languages. It lists new editions of standard works and it lists some book reviews. No abstracts, no full-text sources. Users can search by keyword, author, subject, journal title, and publisher. Coverage is complemented by that in the MLA International Bibliography and updated by various indexes to current periodicals |
