The Government Information and Law Department acquires official records and sales publications from United Nations headquarters organizations in New York City. Official records include committee reports and resolutions. Sales publications cover international policy issues in such areas as economics, population, law, development, and natural resources. Publications from organizations associated with the UN, but with separate headquarters (such as Food and Agriculture Organization or World Health Organization) are not included in the Department collection, but may in some cases be found in the Libraries' general book collection.
United Nations publications are arranged by Library of Congress (LC) classification numbers in the UN (GovUN) area of the Department.
