Citing Your Sources

There are several library and web-based resources for all of your citation needs.

RefWorks

RefWorks is web-based bibliographic management software that has been purchased for Miami students, faculty, and staff. Click here for a quick and simple RefWorks instruction sheet. The libraries also provide various resources to help you use RefWorks:

Zotero

Zotero is a web-based bibliographic manager that is a free, open-source extension for the Firefox browser.

Citation Machine

Citation Machine helps you to create a reference list in either MLA, APA, Turabian or Chicago format. All you have to do is pick a source you are citing, fill out the information about the source, and then you will be presented with a reference to cut and paste into your reference list.

OLinks Reference Formatter

This works similarly to the Citation Machine, except that it works for a few more styles in addition to MLA and APA. You can also access the reference formatter from the OLINKS (Find It) page when you are searching for journal articles.
