The Miami University Libraries will have copies of textbooks from some of the most heavily enrolled courses available on reserve in King Library. Textbooks can be checked out for use within the library for a 2-hour period and can be renewed for an additional amount of time if no other requests for the book have been made.
The new textbook initiative, which was created to lend support to President Hodge's Access Project, is jointly funded by the Libraries, the Miami University Parents Council and the Associated Student Government (ASG). The initiative aims to increase accessibility to textbooks in courses with the highest enrollment that use a single text in all sections, many of which require books costing over $100.
